Sex Me Down Page 7
Fane turned toward her, concern in his gaze. “Are you ready to run as a Tigerian, la nisa?
Unwilling to wait even one more moment to experience shape shifting for the first time, she nodded. “More than ready, Fane.”
“Good. Sayre already knows how to shift, so watch us. Visualize your animal spirit in your mind. See the great white tiger as it prepares to hunt, to chase down its prey.”
Laynee watched in awe as her mates began their change. Their eyes glowed. Sayre’s a brilliant amber and Fane’s a pure deep blue of a bottomless ocean. Their pupils lengthened. Their teeth grew, muzzles shaped. Hair sprouted on their arms and legs, before their backs bowed and they were forced to drop to all fours.
The change happened in only moments and she couldn’t wait to try it herself. She closed her eyes and did exactly as Fane instructed. Power and heat rushed through her body as her inner tiger stretched, emerging from its slumber. Not knowing exactly what to expect, Laynee was surprised that other than exhilaration, only the need for freedom flooded her. She opened her eyes, looked around. She had changed. Tonight her entire world changed and she couldn’t help but wonder just what else was in store for her and her mates.
Unable to help herself, she ran, knowing her mates would soon catch up to her. For tonight, only pleasure and happiness existed. She’d worry about the Banarts tomorrow.
Now you are one, Laynee. You are of the Tigerian as is Sayre. You are of The Savar as is Fane. The two men now have the power of three as do you. You three will play an essential part in our army. An army of powerful triads that will one day defeat the Banart plague. Remember Laynee, as your sister did you, you must contact the next female in the line of three.

Dax Gavaire sat at the communications terminal researching the letters and vid-conferences he’d intercepted over the last couple of weeks as they zinged their way across the surface of the planet. This late at night it was easy to read all of the communiqués sent back and forth. There weren’t so many when most of the planet slept.
“Hmm… This is interesting.” He took a close look at one sent from a Laynee Mikalosa to Rachana Salura, a coven mate apparently readying to go off world on an historical artifact expedition. His lip curled. Historians were naught but boring bookworms with nothing better to do with their time than live in the past. Better to face the future then die stagnating in the past.
“I know you’re frightened, Ana, but you mustn’t be. I’m forwarding another copy of the text to you.” Laynee Mikalosa said. He watched the transmission with interest as she pushed a button on her console. “I know you, and I know you destroyed it as soon as you received it. You must conduct the spell, bring your mate to you. It works.”
“I don’t want a mate.” Rachana said, her bottom lip pushing out in a full pout. “I refuse to do this.”
“You cannot refuse, Ana. The world, the entire galaxy relies on you, on us, to rid the universe of the Banart scum. What is a little thing like sharing your life with others when it can destroy those who are so evil?”
“I will think about it, Laynee. I cannot promise you more.”
Laynee sighed. “That’s better than a firm refusal, I guess. Please think hard on this before you destroy the spell book.”
Ana sighed. “I will. Have a nice trip with your new mates. I hope everything turns out just the way you want it to.”
The screen went dark and Dax sat staring at the attachment he’d downloaded. A book of spells designed to bring mates? His face broke into a smile as he stood and went in search of his brother. Perhaps what worked for the women of Carrillia would work for them as well.
“It certainly won’t hurt to try.”

Tianna Xander is the author of several paranormal, time-travel and science fiction romance novels. She loves reading everything from romance novels, murder mysteries and encyclopedias, to handbooks on solar energy. Tianna is the first to admit she spends far too much time surfing the internet and chatting with her online friends and critique groups.
Having written many novels and working on at least one more at any given time, Tianna still finds time for her family, friends and her many pets. She currently lives in Michigan with her husband, two children, three cats, two big dogs and one occasionally terrorized Netherland Dwarf bunny. Her life is anything but boring.
Hi there. My name is Bonnie Rose Leigh and I've been writing since I was just a tyke. I live in a small town in Upstate, New York and spend most of my time on the computer either writing, or visiting with my friends. If I'm not busy on the computer, I spend my free time reading. It doesn't matter what genre the book is either, though I am partial to romance novels. If I'm not in my office, I can be found sprawled in a chair with a book clutched in my hand and a cup of cocoa sitting nearby.
